Sunovia, a Florida-based cleantech company now known as Evolucia®, develops and markets technologies and products within the LED lighting and solar markets that save money, energy and reduce carbon emissions. These include highly efficient and scalable solar cell systems, break-through PV materials and the cost-efficient Evolucia LED lighting systems. As a fast-growing start-up with with technology that could be applied to a myriad of segments, Sunovia needed market intelligence from the California environment to help define their focus. They had no previously established contacts or representation among the progressive energy efficiency community on the West Coast. Because of our familiarity and deep network in the efficiency space, we reached out on their behalf to leaders in the industry to introduce the company, products in development, build strategic relationships and garner feedback.
Sunovia’s benefits included:
~ Brand and product exposure among key players
~ Personal introductions and access to West Coast lighting industry leaders
~ Insight and feedback from experts at design firms, utilities, municipalities, and other organizations on the leading edge of energy-efficient lighting in California and beyond
~ Opportunities for demonstration projects using Sunovia’s products in high-profile projects including interior lighting in LEED commercial projects with rock-star green designers, street- and pedestrian walkway-lighting with the City of Palo Alto, other parking, high-bay demos, etc. This included introductions to decision-makers who had expressed interest.
~ A written report including insight, analysis, numerous marketplace opportunities, customer profiles, resistance and obstacles to adoption, emerging trends and standards on the horizon for LEDs.
